My kitten has worms and diarrhea. What food is best for him?

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | unneutered | 1.8 lbs

7ish week old kitten diagnosed with coccidia and round worms. 2nd dewormer today and day 5 of Albon. He’s ravenous. But he’s also pooping 5-6 times a day soft stool (also day 5 of Fortiflora) and now has a very irritated anus (vet is aware). Should I limit his food intake? He’s passing a lot of gas as well and has a distended belly

Poor guy. I wouldn't decrease his food for fear of malnutrition, but you should try feeding him an easily digestible bland diet until his GI flora is back to normal. Excessive gas is an indication of indigestion. Try Purina EN or have your vet prescribe Royal Canin GI low fat or Hill's Science Diet. An easily digestible food should help both the stool and the gas. You can also ask your vet for prescription cream to help with some topical relief back there. I hope that your pet Ren feels better soon. Best of luck and take care
