Why is my 3-week-old puppy so hyper and food-obsessed when feeding?

We are bottle feeding our new 3 week old pup. But she eats like she is either super hyper or starving every feeding. If she’s not eating she’s trying to suck on our fingers. And that as well she acts super hyper till she falls asleep. We have her on a 2-2 1/2 hour feeding schedule. She is a baby Rottweiler. Pet's info: Dog | Rottweiler | Female | unspayed | 20 days old | 2 lbs

Hello. Lexie sounds like she is very food motivated, & I wonder if she is doing this to self comfort herself. Puppies should remain with their siblings & mother until at least 6-8 weeks of age. She may be so stressed that food is the only thing that is comforting to her. Continue with your feeding schedule & hopefully, as she matures, she will rely less on food for comfort & more on you for companionship.
