Why is my cat sick after returning home with a lump on its side?

My cat ran away for a few days and came back yesterday. He has a hard lump on his side that’s very small but he doesn’t seem himself. He sleeps all day and doesn’t really eat as much food. Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 25 lbs

Hello. It is possible that Trico has a developing abscess, probably from getting into a fight with another cat. He may require antibiotics so it would be best to have him evaluated by your veterinarian as soon as possible. Hopefully, he will feel better soon.
