My hamster died with neck fluid. Is this normal or did I cause it?

My hamster just passed away and she has some weird pouch of fluid on her neck area and I just wanted to know if that is normal in death or a sign of something that went wrong? I just want to know if I did something to cause this on accident... I hadn’t noticed this prior to her death so I didn’t know if it happens because of her dying or something

I'm so sorry to hear this happened. I don't think that anything you did caused her death. I would not say that fluid pouch is "normal". It could be an abscess or a cyst which may or may not be related to her death. There is really no way to tell.
