Dog's skin around hip is irritated. What can I do before the vet?

Tonight we were petting our dog and realized when we went in this area (around his hip) she got a little squirmy and ticklish almost so we looked and saw this. We made a vet appointment but we can’t get in for 2 days so we’re just wondering if you’ve ever seen something like this. Pet's info: Dog | Chinese Crested | Male | neutered
