Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 13 years and 9 months old
Hi, The problem is that I have a senior cat who had acute renal injury 1.5 years ago, and since that time I've been overprotective. The problem is that Martha likes climbing on furniture, and often jumps from approx. 3-feet height. Today she didn't manage to hold and fell back legs down (after hanging for a second) from approx. 5-feet height. She didn't limp after the fall, but my main concern is that she might have had some kidney injury. Is it possible and is there anything I can do?

Thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach with your question about Martha. If she had a kidney injury, she would barely be moving, lethargic, painful, and you may see blood in the urine. She would have had to fall really hard to have that happen, it's very unlikely she has a kidney injury. She's not limping, so she is likely fine. I would not worry. I hope this helps!
