Our 6 year old shitzu mix has been urinating a lot she will go for about 45 seconds in one spot then find another spot and go there for about a minute and a half and all she has been wanting to do here recently is sleep she has been in heat for a little over two weeks and last week got hooked with a male what could be making her pee more and sleep more? And how long do we wait to know if she’s pregnant. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 5 years and 10 months old | 8 lbs

This can be a sign of a UTI. You need to have Little Foot checked out by a vet for it. You have to wait 45 days after mating to get x-rays to tell if she is pregnant or not. If she is pregnant, after she weans the litter, you should have her spayed. Dogs should never be bred after 5-6 years of age, that is too old. If she isn't pregnant, have her spayed.
