Our 4 year old wirehaired doxy has loose mucoussy stool several days a week. What are some of the possible dietary causes?

Hi there and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to address your concern. It is possible that Sophie has a dietary indiscretion to the current diet or treats you are feeding her. I would recommend trying a different meat protein and see if this helps or try a sensitive stomach formula to see if this helps as well. Sometimes switching to a completely different brand helps as well. If the problem persists, I would recommend having a veterinarian test her stool for fecal parasites just to be on the safe side. I hope this helps guide you in the right direction! Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further.
