Why is my spayed indoor cat scooting her rear but has no worms?

My 10 year old female cat is scooting her rear on the carpet, she is indoor only and never goes outside, she was fixed years ago, I see no worms in feces or on her. Pet's info: Cat | Snowshoe | Female | spayed | 9 years and 9 months old | 8 lbs

Thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach with your question about Mini. Scooting can also indicate a problem with the anal sacs. Hers may be impacted and need to be expressed. I'd take her into the vet to have this diagnosed and treated. I hope this helps.
