My dog threw up undigested food. Is it serious? When to see a vet?

Giulio had a vomiting episode this morning with small pieces of undigsted food particles. He has not had any changes in his diet and has been tolerating the food without any issues. Can this happen sometimes? Should I be concerned?

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Giulio. Dogs can vomit occasionally without being able to determine an underlying cause. However, if he continues to vomit, becomes lethargic, stops eating or develops diarrhea, then he will need to see his veterinarian. In this case, fecal testing, bloodwork and x-rays of his belly are diagnostic tests that may be recommended. In the meantime, monitor him closely for any other symptoms. I hope this information helps!
