Why did my old dog suddenly foam at mouth and shake head briefly?

My 13 yr old dog . Has cushings disease & is doing well. For a few seconds started foaming at mouth & head jerking around . Then she was fine . What do u think happened? Pet's info: Dog | Dachshund miniature | Female | spayed | 13 years and 9 months old | 18 lbs

I don't think it's related to the Cushings. Dogs will foam and shake their head if they taste something bad or eat an insect or something like that. I would not be overly worried at this stage. Just monitor her closely and if this becomes more frequent try to video tape her doing it and then take her to your vet for an exam.
