My 3-month-old chicken was attacked. What can I do for her pain?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Farm Animal | Farm Chicken | Female

Biscuits encountered an incident a few days ago, another chicken attacked her. This chicken pecked her back and her right wing. The top of her back has no feathers and her right wing has a few feathers left. I have already clean and treated her back and wing. There is no bleeding anymore and it looks like it’s getting better. But I don’t know how to help her with the pain? By the ways she’s only about 3 months. Thank you very much.

There is really not anything you can give a chicken for pain that is over the counter. Even if there was, you would never be able to get a dosage small enough for a 3 month old chicken. You will have to take her to a vet if you think she is pain and needs medication. They are tough so as long as she is eating and drinking and active I would not be overly worried about pain. Just continue to keep the wounds clean as you have been doing. Hope this helps.
