My dog's ear infection won't heal, fluid, bad smell. What to do?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

My dog has a horrible ear infection. I've been giving her ammoxiciline, ear mite medicine, and tried several home remedies. She still has fluid in her ear canal and it smells really bad. What do I do to better treat her infection.?

You need to have Foxy seen by a vet to have this treated. Home remedies do not work on ear infection, and neither does amoxicillin. That is an oral antibiotic, which do not work on ear infections. Leaving this untreated can lead to hearing loss. Please take her into a vet now.
