Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Mediumhair | Female | spayed | 7 lbs
My question is not a concern, just out of curiosity. I’m aware that cats have an extra set of eyelids, and my cats inner corner one strings outward. The vet said we could have it removed, but I decided not to if it’s not doing any harm to her. Why does it do this? Is it common? I will try to get a good picture to upload.

Thank you for the good photo! It looks like she tore the corner of the third eyelid. It is usually from an injury but often we don't know how it happened. I would not say is not common but I have seen it before. I agree with you, if it is not bothering her I would just leave it be.
