My dog's nose keeps peeling. Could it be cancer or another issue?

Pet's info: Dog | Cocker Spaniel | Female | spayed | 6 years and 9 months old

Good evening...my 6 year old spaniel have a problem with a nose that peels off.After the peeling her nose is perfect but after a few days it starts again.It is not painfull but i think uncomfortable.She is active like usial,eats and drinks.What can this be?A vet said that it is nose cancer?What treatment can i give her?

Hello. Has your veterinarian done a biopsy on the nasal tissue? If not, until cancer is confirmed, this could be something else like an infection or autoimmune condition. Please discuss this with your veterinarian because there are things that might be appropriate to treat this condition based on what is found on the biopsy.
