What can I do for my cat's eye before his vet appointment tomorrow?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | neutered | 1 year and 2 months old | 11 lbs

The soonest appointment I could get is tomorrow at 5:30 pm. Is there nothing I can do for his eye?

Good on you for getting the appointment! Use a soft damp clothe to wipe away any discharge, keep Lou warm and comfortable. You can use sterile saline to flush his eye in case there is any discharge stuck there. Keep him indoors if he's allowed outside.
