What food for kitten diarrhea when tests are clear and diets fail?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 2 months and 23 days old | 3.3 lbs

My 14 week old kitten has bad diarrhoea. Blood tests and fecal samples haven't shown anything. Gastro-intestinal diet and sensitivity dies does not help. Any advice on what I can feed? Is a royal canon hypoallergenic a good idea to try?

Yes, you can try the Royal Canin Hypoallergenic but he still really needs a kitten formula and I don't think that comes in "kitten". Even if the fecal test was negative I would still bet it is parasites causing the problem - either coccidia or tritrichomonas especially if Panda came from a cattery. I suggest you speak to your vet about treating for these "just in case". It won't hurt him and it may help.
