My puppy keeps dry coughing and gagging. Should I see a vet?

we just bought a puppy from a little puppy store in our town and since he’s gotten home he keeps on coughing. but it seems like he’s like dry coughing like ten at a time but when he stops it seems like he almost try’s to puke something out, should we be worried? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Male | unneutered | 9 months and 2 days old | 5 lbs

Yes, you should bring him to your vet, although this is probably just kennel cough infection which is a self limiting disease it could also be other things, a new puppy with such a problem should always be checked by a vet first thing.
