My dog threw up but is acting normal. Should I worry about a blockage?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Female | spayed | 3 years and 4 months old | 13 lbs

7 days ago lulu ate 1/6 of a paper towel. She popped it out. She has been eating normally and her energy levels are normal. She also has had regular bowel movements. She threw up today. Could it be a blockage? Trying to decide about taking her to the emergency vet.

Hello. I honestly would not rush her into an emergency clinic based on one episode of vomiting. Eating well & having normal & regular bowel movements are definitely a sign of a healthy GI tract. A blockage would make her very sick. If she continues to vomit, quits eating, develops any diarrhea, then see your veterinarian, but there is no way 1/6 of a paper towel, even in a small dog, would cause a blockage. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
