Why is my Lab not eating, drinking, and trembling with trapped gas?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | unneutered | 1 year and 11 months old

Went to the vet today, my 2 year old lab hasn't been eating or drinking. He recently spent the weekend with my father's 2 golden retrievers (they are fine, but eat poop). Could my dog be missing them that much he wont eat or drink? Xrays showed "trapped gas". Weve got a multitude of medications to give him. His legs tremble occasionally. Could fleas cause this? Very concerned.

I don't think this is due to fleas or stress. Labs are notoriously good eaters. I would be worried he got into something he shouldn't have which is very common for a young Lab. Any chance he could have ingested a toxin or toy or something? Was any blood testing done? His legs may be trembling from weakness, dehydration or even pain. I would say if after a couple days on the medications, he isn't better, he should go back to the vet for repeat of the x-rays and some blood testing.
