My cat passed electrical wire with blood. Should I call the vet?

My cat passed a small piece of chewed electrical wire with a small amount of blood. Should I take him to the vet?

Hello. If Johnny is eating well & his bowel movements are otherwise normal, then he may not need to see the vet. Just watch him carefully for the next few days to make sure he is eating well & not having any difficulty using the litter box. Any concerns, do have him seen immediately for x-rays, but the intestines are pretty tough & can handle a lot of weird materials. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
