My dog has a runny nose, drools, and ear pain. Can I wait for the vet?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | neutered | 2 years and 11 months old | 73 lbs

My dog has started to drool and his nose is runny. His left ear is hurting and I’m taking him to the vet tomorrow but I’m trying to avoid the emergency vet if possible.

I see you posted a priority question about this. I assume you got that answer, but to give you a summary, you don't need to rush Bentley into an ER vet now if he's eating, drinking, isn't lethargic, and his ear does not appear to be in a lot of pain. I hope this helps.
