Why is my parakeet clicking its tongue? Is it a sign of illness?

I taught my parakeet how to click his tounge, he is really good at it! but i learned that your parakeet clicks his tounge when they are sick, so how do i know if he is doing it because he doesn't feel good?

I have not heard of birds clicking their tongues when they are sick. Birds are more likely to show other symptoms when sick like: fluffing up their feathers, staying at the bottom of the cage, shaking, sleeping a lot, not eating or drinking normally, abnormal stools, etc. I would not worry about tongue clicking as a sign of illness.
