Pet's info: Small Animal | Hamster | Female | unspayed | 2 years old
I’ve had this hamster for going on three years and i just got a pet bunny. It didn’t seem to bother the hamster but I went to clean her cage this morning and some of her fur looked wet. And i’ve noticed she’s been peeing everywhere recently. It’s been an hour since i clean the cage and the fur doesn’t look that bad anymore but I don’t understand what happened.

Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Unfortunately, I can't really tell you what happened either. I would not be too overly concerned at this stage. Just monitor her to see if it keeps happening. Watch her closely to see if she is drinking excessive amounts of water. Bladder infections, urinary crystals, kidney disease, liver disease, bladder stones, and even tumors of the bladder can causes excessive water consumption and subsequent excessive urination. Diabetes is also a consideration of some species of hamster like the Campbell's dwarf. For now, just monitor her and feel free to post again if you have more questions.
