My miniature pig has an itchy rash. Can it spread to my dog's rash?

my miniature pig has a rash on his back and he is very itchy lately. i’m not sure if it’s because he has dry skin or maybe his diet. i just wanted an expert opinion. also wondering if it can it spread to my my dog, because my dog has just recently contracted a rash on his testicals. Pet's info: Exotic | Unknown - Exotic | Male | unneutered | 3 months and 12 days old | 10 lbs

Thanks for reaching out about Oliver. Parasitic and bacterial dermatitis are common problems in pigs, and can possibly be transmitted to dogs. A veterinary visit is recommended to assess and provide a diagnostic/treatment plan. Both of these causes can be very itchy and uncomfortable but either anti-parasitics or antibiotics have a good prognosis. Good luck.
