My dog is lethargic, not eating. How can I find affordable vet care?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | unneutered | 4 years and 8 months old | 70 lbs

My dog peed on the floor last night, very out of character for him, didnt eat dinner, he doesnt want to play or jump or run. He has his ears back and is walking very slowly with his tail down and normally he is VERY energetic. I'm really scared. I have no money for a vet visit. Hes been like this for about 12 hrs now

I'm sorry that Buddy is not well. Unfortunately, his symptoms are very vague so there is no treatment we can recommend since we don't know what his underlying problem is. You must understand that not everything can be fixed at home. Remember, having a pet is a privilege, not a right. It is your responsibility to get him medical care when he needs it. He is counting on you. I suggest you try one of these low cost vet clinics. You may have to go to RI if you can't find a vet close to you to help.
