Why is my dog's hair falling out so much? Is it normal, what helps?

My dog is shedding a lot. He's sheding more than he used to. Is it normal or is it caused by something? What can I do to stop his hair fall • he has hip dysplasia (left hind)

This sounds like normal shedding. I would not be worried unless there are bald spots where all the hair is missing. There is nothing available to stop shedding as it is a normal process. You don't want to stop it completely but you can give supplements to make the hair healthier and shiny. This supplement has vitamins for both the hair and ones to help his joints.
