My dog has red bumps near his neuter wound. Should I see a vet?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Pembroke Welsh Corgi | Male | neutered | 8 months and 19 days old | 33 lbs

What are these red bumps near his privates? I was inspecting his neuter wound tonight and found these red bumps on his right side. They are not on the other side. Do we need to go see the vet tomorrow?

Thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach with your question about Momo. These bumps could be skin irritation from the antiseptics used to clean his skin or they could be irritation from the clippers. I'd keep an eye on them for now, and if they get worse, spread, or start to both him, have him seen by a vet. I hope this helps.
