Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | neutered
I went to give my yard dog a flea bath today, put him in the shower with me, and the water ran crimson with his blood. I let the water run for about a minute to make sure it wasn't just a buildup of dirt, but it never diluted. He's woefully infested with fleas, and I don't know where the blood is coming from. He doesn't have any obvious open wounds.

The blood is probably from the dead fleas. I would not be overly worried about it. You just really need to get him on a high quality prescription flea medication. There is really no excuse for a flea infestation when there are so many good products on the market. Poor guy must be miserable...... I suggest an oral pill like Bravecto, Nexgard, Comfortis or Simparica. You can try one of these local vaccine clinics to get a product.
