My dog's open wound from a dog attack: Is it healing normally?

Pet's info: Dog | Belgian Malinois | Female | unspayed | 3 years and 2 months old | 100 lbs

My dog was attacked by another dog I took her to the vet the vet irrigated the wound and left them open give her amoxicillin for medication and was told to put a hot compress on twice a day we're doing that but the wound is open I don't know if that's good or not

From what I can tell (the photos are very grainy), the wound appears to be healing fine. I suggest you continue treatment as your vet recommended for now. I strongly recommend you take her back to your vet for a progress check-up in about 5-7 days. They will be able to tell you better if it looks to be healing well since they saw the initial injury.
