Why is my dog peeing frequently and only small amounts? UTI?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Lhasa Apso | Female | spayed | 3 years and 1 month old | 10 lbs

my dog wants to be let out more frequently than normal. she squats to pee and only a small amount comes out. she then gets up to walk around and a couple minutes later will squat down again to pee but again only a small amount comes out. she doesn’t whimper when she pees but i’m worried. is this a UTI? also her recent stool was slightly almost cold?? no warmth at all. what does this mean?

I suspect Bella could have a UTI, and you need to take her into the vet in the morning to get this treated. As for the stool, this is fine, nothing to worry about. The temperature of stool is not a sign of illness.
