My cat is sleeping a lot, walking stiffly, and can't jump. What to do?

Hello, my name is Courtney! My cat, Millie, just turned 1 and is having some strange symptoms. I’ve noticed in the past few weeks that she hasn’t been able to jump up on higher things-like counters, her cat tree. She used to do just fine but now she attempts and falls on her back. More importantly, she’s been sleeping A LOT. In fact, The ONLY times she gets up is to use the box or eat- all normal amounts. She will walk stiffly a couple of steps then lay down. She won’t get up For anything else. Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Female | spayed | 1 year and 1 month old | 9 lbs

Hi Courtney! It sounds like Millie is in pain, and that’s why she can’t jump on things she used to, is walking stiffly, and is sleeping a lot. Please do not give her any human pain medications as many are toxic to cats and are fatal if given. You need to take her into a vet today or tomorrow to get checked out. I hope this helps!
