Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Female | spayed | 1 year and 1 month old | 9 lbs
Hello, my name is Courtney! My cat, Millie, just turned 1 and is having some strange symptoms. I’ve noticed in the past few weeks that she hasn’t been able to jump up on higher things-like counters, her cat tree. She used to do just fine but now she attempts and falls on her back. More importantly, she’s been sleeping A LOT. In fact, The ONLY times she gets up is to use the box or eat- all normal amounts. She will walk stiffly a couple of steps then lay down. She won’t get up For anything else.

Hi Courtney! It sounds like Millie is in pain, and that’s why she can’t jump on things she used to, is walking stiffly, and is sleeping a lot. Please do not give her any human pain medications as many are toxic to cats and are fatal if given. You need to take her into a vet today or tomorrow to get checked out. I hope this helps!
