Hello, basically my dog found a turtle nest in my yard I called a vet to come remove the remaining eggs for better chance at survival. They left some they said were dead or wouldn’t make it. I couldn’t help but notice one that looked alive. I decided to keep him and see if I can help him. He hasnt eaten rarely moves and has this umbilical cord looking thing hanging from him still. Is he okay??

Thanks for reaching out about Strike and including photos, but unable to make an assessment base on the photos. At this young age, probably still getting nutrients from the yolk sac, which is hopefully internalized. Hopefully the umbilical cord is drying out but can be an avenue for infection. If inactive or concerned, a veterinary visit is recommended to provide a diagnostic/treatment plan. Good luck.
