Why did my dog suddenly die after collapsing and showing pain?

Hi, my dog recently died and I just wanted to maybe get a sense of what happened because it was so sudden. She was totally fine, eating well, getting up to use the bathroom and all until Monday afternoon. She began not being able to get up and would urinate/poop herself while crying like in pain. She finally got up that night to eat but after about a minute of standing her legs began to bend in and she would fall over. We planned to take her to the vet the following morning but she never woke up. Pet's info: Dog | American Pit Bull Terrier | Female | spayed | 65 lbs

I'm sorry you lost Mune so suddenly, please accept my condolences for your loss. Without seeing her in person, I can't say for certain what happened, but it could be she had a problem with her heart, got into something toxic, or may have had cancer like a splenic hemagiosarcoma that ruptured. Again, I'm sorry for your loss.
