What causes bursting skin cysts and diarrhea in my senior dog?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | English Bulldog | Male | unneutered | 8 years and 1 month old

My dog Duke is an 8 year old bulldog. He has a large cyst on his right shoulder, no vet will touch. He keeps getting little ones on his body now that seem to be bursting on their own and leaving bloody and pussy holes. He has also been having bouts of diarrhoea

Hello, I'm unsure why a veterinarian would refuse to treat your dog, but Duke absolutely requires medical attention with multiple infections breaking in his skin and diarrhea. I'd recommend finding a veterinarian. They can best guide you after performing a physical exam. Senior dogs that are not neutered will be particularly prone to prostatic and testicular diseases and cancer. This can affect both the skin and defecation. I hope this is helpful.
