My dog hurt his leg on a fence cable. How do I treat the wound?

Pet's info: Dog | Pit Bull Terrier | Male | unneutered | 2 years and 11 months old | 60 lbs

Not sure how to treat wound. He got caught in his cable when he jumped the fence and the cable was wrapped around his leg. It looks like it messed up his leg pretty bad

The wound should be assessed by your veterinarian. Wild Bill may need antibiotics and pain management. DO not medicate him without the advice of your vet. Many OTC medications can be toxic to dogs. In the meantime, restrict activity to just leash walks for elimination. Avoid or prevent excessive running, jumping or rough play.
