My aggressive cat is limping. How can I safely get her to the vet?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 5 years and 5 months old | 6 lbs

my has been limping for about 2 weeks. she is so aggressive though that nobody can get close to her let alone put her in a carrier. i'm worried it's a fracture and wont heal correctly but she hisses and swipes at you for just being in the same room as her so I don't know how I'd get her to the vet. even if i did she'd attack the vets most likely. I'm lost on what to do and worried she'll have a crippled paw in the future.

In this situation, I would definitely recommend utilizing a mobile vet to try and get Misty seen and properly treated. The only other option here is to lure her into a crate using food and then taking her in to your vet. I do hope that your kitty Misty does not have a fracture and is going to be able to recover well soon! Best wishes and take care.
