Hello, my 4 month old golden retriever just chewed up a battery, I’m not sure if the battery is dead or not but I am concerned if it’s toxic to him or not? Thank you. Pet's info: Dog | Golden Retriever | Male | unneutered | 4 months and 14 days old | 8.1 lbs

Chewed up batteries can cause caustic burns to the oral cavity and GI tract if the contents of the battery are ingested. Typically if a pet ingested or was exposed to a caustic chemical, they will have excess drooling. I would have your vet at least do a full physical exam to ensure Charlie is ok.
