My dog has a red bump above dew claw from licking. Is it a hot spot?

Hello, after noticing some constant licking, I noticed my dog had a red bare bump a little above his dew claw. I cleaned it under some warm water and put ointment and bandaged it. He whimpers a little when he’s not on his paws. He lets me touch it and doesn’t whimper or flinch when applying ointment and bandage.

Ouch! That looks like a bit of a hot spot. I would keep the area clean and dry and keep Crixus from licking it with the use of an Elizabethan (cone) collar. If the are doesn't start to heal, becomes hot to the touch or painful, oozes debris/looks infected or rapidly changes, have a vet take a look ASAP.
