Why is my 3-month-old kitten lethargic, weak, vomiting, and has fleas?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

My kitten is 3 months old and he has been acting super lethargic and weak especially compared to his brother who is super playful. He is always curled in a ball and when I pick him up and move him he just curls up the same. I also found some vomit on our porch that I believe is his. I also noticed he has fleas. I am super worried and plan on taking him to a vet if he keeps on like this.

Hello. You should take the kitten in to be evaluated as soon as possible. Fleas do carry diseases that can infect cats & kittens, & if there are enough fleas, can actually cause anemia. If the kitten has not been wormed, then the presence of intestinal parasites such as roundworms can weaken a kitten further. Other infections/conditions are possible, so I do hope you can have him evaluated by your veterinarian soon. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
