Hi Trixie is undergoing treatment for small cell lymphoma for about 5 months now. She takes a Leukeran every 2 weeks, prednisolone 5mg every 24 hours and mirtazapine every 24 hours. Her urinalysis Showed some protein in the urine so my vet did a protein /creatinine ratio test and it came back with a quantitative value of .3. She says if we check again in 3 weeks and it’s greater than .4 she may be proteinuric & will need medicine. Could the protein in the urine be due to her chemo treatment?

Yes it can be but please continue to work with your vet on this issue. It sounds like they are handling it correctly. They have all her medical history so it is best to continue to consult with them. We don't have enough information to help you appropriately.
