My kitten stopped eating for 12 hours but is still playful. Why?

Shadow stopped eating, suddenly. The last meal he ate was like before 12 hours from now, or more. Idk why hes normal, doesnt meow and plays normally and with the same energy. He comes taste his usual food and then eats a very tiny bite and stops.. idk what happened and im scared. Pet's info: Cat | Scottish Fold | Male | unneutered | 3 months and 12 days old

It could be many things, bad-tasting food, oral pain, nausea, etc. Since 12 hours is a long time for a kitten to not eat and they can become hypoglycemic, I would recommend having him examined by a vet to see what is going on.
