Why is my dachshund dry heaving and throwing up after drinking water?

I have a miniature dachshund that has been dry heaving a lot and throwing up after she drinks water. I noticed when I first saw her that something was wrong since she seemed less energetic and had marks going down from her eyes. Her dry heaving sounds painful and she vomits after she drinks water. The vomit is clear with some yellow and it is bubbly. My parents told me it's probably just the stomach virus, but I'm worried it might be something more severe. It's pretty serious when a dog can't keep down water, and it could be that Ruby could have a GI illness, but it could be something more serious like a pyometra. Please take your parents she has to see a vet now.
