Question

My dog won't move or eat, and will only drink if we bring water to her. She starts making a whiny noise when her tummy is touched and seems to be leaking bile from her butt. This only seemed to have started yesterday evening but a few days prior she did vomit a few times. What is wrong with her and what do I do about it? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Female | unspayed | 3 years and 7 months old | 7.5 lbs

I'm so sorry that Maggie is feeling so ill. I'm very worried about her, and you really need to take her to a vet. If she isn't moving and seems painful (which i think may be occurring based on you saying that she whines when her tummy is touched) and she is leaking from her back end, she needs medical attention now. It could be a number of different things--from gastroenteritis, to an intestinal obstruction, to pancreatitis, to a liver or kidney issue. I wish I had an at-home solution for you, but she really needs to go in to see a vet.
