My dog's eye is bothering her, and she won't open it. What's wrong?

All the sudden tonight my dog is having issues with her eye. I have no idea what happened. I rinsed it out and tried putting a cold wet compress on it. She is also very sleepy and does not want to eat or open her eyes. She is moving fine not leaning in anyway. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | spayed | 4 years and 4 months old | 37 lbs

Poor Pepper. She may have injured her eye or could have an eye infection. Any eye problem needs to be checked out by a vet promptly, as leaving it untreated can lead to vision loss. I'd take her into a vet now.
