My dog has gastritis, painful belly, and hasn't pooped. What to do?

My dog had painful swollen belly. Diagnosis was gastritis. No vomiting or diarrhea. Hasn’t pooped for over 48 hours. Should I be concerned? He’s on antibiotics for now. Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Male | neutered | 5 years and 10 months old | 12 lbs

I'd be a bit concerned that it's been 48 hours and Popcorn hasn't pooped. Try giving him canned food and adding water to it, or adding a teaspoon of pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling) to his food. If this doesn't help and he hasn't pooped by the morning, I'd have him seen by a vet.
