My aggressive dog is worsening with age. Is humane euthanasia right?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | American Pit Bull Terrier | Female | unspayed | 6 years and 11 months old | 60 lbs

My dog is very aggressive,I can't have her around d people, children, other animals, she was traumatised due to a home to. Ery her and I survived together years ago.As she gets older it's getting worse instead of better,it's been suggested to me that it would be more humane to put her to sleep rather than living isolated .what do u think?

Hi there, thanks for your question on Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. This is a big question, and I encourage you to schedule a consultation with your vet to discuss the situation and potential options more fully. However, from the brief description, I think euthanasia may be a valid option in this case. Hope this helps.
