My dog isn't eating much. Could hot summer weather be the reason?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | 8 months and 16 days old | 38 lbs

It's summer here in my country and temperature rises to 35°c +.. Can this hot weather be the cause for my dog not eating properly? Most of the times he leaves some of his food.

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Simba. Yes, heat and humidity can affect a dog's appetite. However, so can many disease processes. It is important to have him evaluated by his veterinarian to ensure that he is not sick. I hope this information helps!
