You should feed puppies milk very slowly and allow them to drink it as opposed to forcing it in. That way they can stop when they are full. If the puppy has been overfed it will have a swollen belly and be unsettled. It may even get very weak and show signs of trouble breathing/ you will hear raspy sounds and milk may come out of the nose. In this case the pup would need to go to a vet asap.
