Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 3 years and 4 months old | 11.5 lbs
Stormy is a healthy cat. I brush her a few times a week. While i was petting her last night i felt something. one one of her back legs on the part of her thigh where all the fat is stored i felt a small lump. It tends to move with the skin. Doesnt feel hard and she isnt bothered when i mess with it. Shes still very active; runs around goes after birds s, eats and drinks normally, very alert, and has a shiney coat. Her bowels and urine are normal. No other issues. I cant afford the vet

Pets can get many types of lumps and bumps. Most of these tumors will be benign but some will be malignant and you can't tell by looks. Here is a helpful link discussing the various types of skin masses in general: https://www.petcoach.co/article/lumps-and-bumps-on-your-pet/ I recommend to have it checked out to be safe as soon as you can. The doctor may recommend to aspirate the mass to examine the cells under a microscope. That is one of the best ways to know what it is and if further action is needed. You may look into financing through Care Credit or Scratch Pay to help assist with costs. You can find information on their websites. I hope this helps and please feel free to post any additional questions.
